Not to be political... But there was plenty of funding for the NWS and NOAA to warn against something like this before someone came into office and put a greedy billionaire in charge of what's important to pay for or not. We need to think a lot harder about who we vote for moving forward, clearly the wealthy and Republicans don't have our best interests at heart, just their wallets.

You don't know what you're talking about. It is entirely the fault of the cheap Kerr County Commissioners for refusing FOR YEARS to get flood warning sirens. This is a local government issue and has NOTHING to do with funding NWS or NOAA so don't come onto greekrank and start with "not to make this political" and then spout your fake political agenda.

If the county does not install sirens, then the camp owners can install their own. They can have someone monitoring the weather. No excuse for these deaths.

Sure kid, the countys sirens are to blame for FEMA NWS and NOAA having half their staff canned and their funding cut. If they had the funding and staff maybe they could've warned the state and coordinated relief efforts for the aftermath? I know critical thinking is tough for republicans but stop buying into all of their half truths and lies before researching it on your own first. George Washington was right blind allegiance to political parties is going to be the death of us.

A guy with dementia was elected and republicans got all angry and said never again!! Let's get a billionaire pëdô who literally had his dad pay his way through middle school to college. Surely the guy who has had everything handed to him his whole life will have all of the answers and not just use the office to enrich himself right?? Right?!

I agree, the entire situation is really unfortunate and sad. Prayers for everyone involved, and R.I.P to all the lost loved ones. hopefully we can get some more funding for NWS and NOAA moving forward to get more of a warning next time a storm of this size comes our way.
