I hope no one trusts anything on here....
Chi O, Kappa, and Theta have to make ridiculously brutal cuts every day. People do not like Pi Phis dance party (although I personally thought it was a nice break from small talk) so they are not as well liked after day 1....but saying no one likes PKT is just ridiculous. Everyone who rushes knows the truth....why post something so obviously wrong? All chapters have to cut but let's not pretend everyone dislikes two of the most popular chapters.

^comment above me. Completely agree that every house has amazing girls and not amazing girls but every house has to cut a lot of girls. That’s how rush goes when 1200 girls go through and 800 get bids. It’s just that PKT aren’t as high out sought out as is sometimes presumed on here.

maybe in previous years but i went through rush this year and the only girls who loved PKT were girls who knew they were getting those houses. I agree w/ original poster girls love zeta and chiO during rush

I agree. And the way PKT girls treated girls not on their list was awful. They won’t even look at you when you’re talking to them. This is why the Greek community doesn’t look highly upon their chapters, and why they don’t have a good reputation in campus. How they treat others.....

They all rush the most well-liked girls from bigwig schools in upper middle class areas within city limits. The friend groups have continuity over years and years. That’s what gives them some panache before rush, but they mostly just do their own thing.
That’s it. No one’s going over you dad’s tax returns or grandpa’s name with a fine toothed comb like everyone says on here. Ok lol maybe Pi Phi is but even then, the girls aren’t doing that. The narcissist controlling mothers who have to live through their daughters are.
You’re just more likely to be connected to the friend groups if you live in those neighborhoods or attend those high schools. That’s LITERALLY IT.
Everyone needs to STFU now and move on.

I think it is a more a matter of where you are from. Most everyone where I am from and go to camp with absolutely chooses PKT over Chi O...though a few do go Chi O and love it and maybe a DDD once in awhile. No one prefs Zeta that I know but I hear that they are probably popular with girls from other areas. I don't know anything about Aphi.

Here is the truth. PKT is a little like AEPhi in that they are separate from the rest of the sororities. Unless you are part of their circle, these three just won't matter to you during rush. And trust me, you won't get why they are the top sororities.
I cut AZD and Pi my first round of rush. A LOT of girls do. No regrets. Ended up in a great sorority that I love.

I actually liked Aphi the best but there was no way my mom or grandmother wouldn't disown me if I didn't go Kappa. I knew through the mom grapevine before rush that I had a guaranteed bid from them. There IS a list. I'm not into the powdery barge parties so I do very little with my PC.

I guess that’s one person’s opinion. More than plenty of PKT girls are beautiful and fun. There are in every chapter at UT. And there are duds in every chapter at UT. Once the PNM’s get to UT they will see how different reality is from GR perception. Oops.

To the comment above me, as a girl in one of those chapters... the first round of rush we cut more than half of the girls going through. Mathematically, that shouldn’t be the case since girls are going from 12 houses to 10. But we have to because of numbers. We cut a lot of girls we like and a lot of girls who had friends in the chapter. That’s the unfortunate truth. That’s what “brutal cuts” means. And honestly? You’re so negative. Yes, people do like pi phi. Theta too. Both have fun, cute, sweet girls. You sound very bitter... I hope you work that out. Every sorority has beautiful girls. Every sorority has sweet girls, fun girls, funny girls, cool girls, and annoying girls too. You sound like you have a chip on your shoulder. That’s tough. I don’t know what happened to you during rush. But the girls in those chapters are no worse than anyone else. Sorry that you feel that way.
