by: QuestionMany kids from prestigious and well connected families go to SMU, but some also go to UT. What makes them choose UT over SMU? Dallas had elite "mens clubs" and "womens clubs" like Calyx, Idlewild and Slipper, so why do they come down to Austin?

SMU (small man's university) is great if you like 5'4" men to date. It's sooo easy to get into - you just have to pay a lot. No thanks. UT is one of the best schools in the country. And one of the BEST things about UT is that the Greek system is ubsurdly small. It has the smallest Greek system of any SEC school-which is a good thing. Also at UT-if you are a girl you don't need to rush at all. You get to go to ALL of the Frat parties (with your friends that were dumbo enough to pay to join a house) and ALL formal events. So don't even bother rushing as a woman. Total waste.
