I'm not in a sorority but most of my friends are, and my boyfriend is in a fraternity so I go to a lot of the mixers and all the girls are really nice to me. I'm rather dismayed about all the negativity here. Who cares who is ranked higher? Seriously this all seems petty as hell, we're in college not high school. Who are you to judge a whole different sorority or pc of girls you hardly know - things like their personalities or looks? It's really pathetic. Just worry about yourselves, obviously this whole ranking BS is to foster some artificial self-confidence or something. I'm tired of hearing my friends talk about who's hot and who's not. When we all graduate none of this is going to matter. No one will care about your sorority rank back in the day, and talking about it would make you look childish. I'm not against all sororities and not all of you are like this (especially in person) but it's time to stop being so judgmental online.

Granted some of the bashing is dumb, but being apart of a Greek chapter can take you to the next level. Aside from being with the "best/hottest/etc", it gives you a chance to do some serious networking with some serious people (especially alumni). So yes, being a part of a great sorority does matter, more than just what you look like, but what you make of yourself. Who you know nowadays is everything. So, do us all a favor, get over the fact that you were ashamed all the good/decent/mediocre chapters cut you, go focus on GEED things, and let the people who know what they're talking about take care of this. kthnxbye

tridelt kappa and phi are interchangeably the top three sororities. they all do have their pros and cons from year to year. axo and skrappa come after, on the edges of top tier-- axo tries way too hard to break into the top 3 while skrappa is chill with where they're at. either way, no one really goes any where.

phi mu was never at michigan. they are probably one of the sororities trying to take the spot that panhel approved. you might be thinking of gamma phi beta, they left michigan. they were the worst house while they were here (worse than agd)

Yes, Phi Mu was at Michigan at one point. I don't think it was any time recently, but I once met the ex-Executive Director of Phi Mu and she talked about how sad it is that the Phi Mu chapter at UMich isn't currently open.
It does seem like Gamma Phi will be the first to get the extension offer, assuming their national organization wants it. It's a strong enough sorority and they have a chapter at MSU. They were the last to leave and did it voluntarily (numbers, not trouble). It'll be interesting to see how extension pans out, especially with AEPhi's house still way under capacity.

Agree with "greek." Spot on. Except maybe put
Top:
1. Phi/Kappa
2. Tridelt/AXO/Skrappa
Top Middle:
Theta
ect....all the rest
phi and kappa are clearly the top two and tridelt axo and skrappa I would say are tied. Their girls are interchangeable and mix with all of the same people. Annndd then there's theta....a breed of their own
