This is an ambiguous question. No answer for that. The algorithm is based on percentages, not hard numbers, and is constantly adjusted each round. The system is not designed to get rid of pnm’s. Each sorority is assigned a limit to their invites every round, so some can invite less pnm’s and others more. There is only a handful of pnm’s every year who get completely dropped; the vast majority of pnm’s who don’t stay in the process or don’t get a bid have dropped themselves. So don’t worry, you will have choices.

What was the range last year? If the starting number was 1500, does it drop to 1000, 500, 100? Are pledge classes around 70-80?

No. That's not how it works. Pnm's drop out of recruitment when they don't like their remaining options and refuse to give the chapters that want them a chance.

There is not a set number of bids or total number of pnm's to release at any round. The release figures assigned to each chapter by panhellenic are integrated into the total number of pnm's as a whole, with some chapters having to release more and others less. The first round is the largest number of releases, based on percentage, from the individual chapters. Releases are a lower percentage for each successive round.

You will be released from chapters but not totally from recruitment. The number of pnm's getting asked back and receiving bids is actually maximized by this system.

Quota is not determined until after pref and everyone has signed her card. Number of cards signed divided by total number of sororities = Quota. There is no predetermined nm class size.
