do ppl care what tier you’re in after soph year?
by: FratWhen you go to bars, technically someone from a low tier frat can hook up with someone from a top tier sorority and vice versa? What I’m asking essentially is does anyone care after their soph year what tier you’re in? And if not then why do people care so much about tiers? After your soph year you can go to a bar and hook up with anyone you want. You don’t have to rely on mixers. Right? Or is there like a status thing? If you tell someone you’re from a given frat/sorority, they’ll judge you based on a certain stereotype?

sophomore year people still care. after mixers and when people start going to bars it ends up being more you hang with people you know and like a self tier filtration happens where tops hangs with top etc. at the end of the day it doesn’t matter as much but it usually is still a thought

Junior and senior year you go to bars with people you know and most of the ppl you know are in similar tiers because you mixed with them as under classmen. for example, phi girls are going to go to the bars with the guys they know and most of those guys will be phi psi and ox.

...most kids settle down junior and senior year. The dimes with good dispositions are wifey status. The rich broskis get p-whipped by some girl. Random hookups into junior and senior year is degenerate and immature. Get a bf/gf and buckle down in academic, prepare for career.
So as for bar question... people go out with the crew they had fresh/soph year, usually. Add in a gf/bf crew... and maybe add in some a handful of friends from your major.

Agree w/ junior... most of the junior/senior couples are the same couples that existed freshman/sophomore year.

9 in 10 dimes here is wifed up by third year at the latest. Are you a late bloomer? Because most playboys have the hookup culture out of their system and just get bored with it. Still thirsting after random girls at age 21 and 22 is high-key sad and demonstrates maturity or personality defects...and a lack of action from age 14-20.
