rushing sororities with facial piercings??
by: piercingsI'm interested in rushing in the fall, but I have facial piercings. Is that going to be a turn off for houses? Are there any houses that will say no based purely on that? Should I take them out or hide them, or just try to be myself?

I think it would honestly depend what type of piercing you have. If it's a garden variety nose piercing or any non-gauged piercing on your ear, I don't believe any of the houses on our campus would bat an eyelash. I've known at least one girl in a sorority with an eyebrow piercing, so even that would probably be okay. I genuinely don't know for any other type of piercing, but my advice to you would not be to hide a part of yourself from your potential future sisters. You want them to embrace you for every single thing you are, and if a piercing is the only reason you're not getting a bid from a particular house, I would say that's not somewhere you would have wanted to be in the first place.

I know a girl in almost every sorority with a nose or septum piercing! I don't think most houses would care about a lip piercing either but I haven't seen one tbh
