Alpha Phi - ΑΦ Sorority at University of Michigan Ann Arbor - UM 2.4 As a PNM I got invited back to aphi up until round 3. All of my friends were excited for me, I didn’t think much about it because I had other houses I liked more. The girls I talked to were superficial and not genuine. Not that they were outwardly mean, they just didn’t seem nice and excited to have all of the PNMs there like every single other house I went to. I was supposed to be joining a sisterhood and it looked like these girls just cared about what my peers and i looked like and who we knew, this one girl asking a lot of questions about my connections w certain people/groups on campus. I personally did not want to join and don’t know why they’re popular, it does not feel like a close knit community at all. But that may just be my personal opinion. Needless to say, I dropped them. I’ll never know if the feeling was mutual because I got 2/2 of the houses I prefed back. But my advice as a PNM is to follow your gut and not the hype, as in this case i didn’t get it

Alpha Phi - ΑΦ Sorority at University of Michigan Ann Arbor - UM 3.5 Aphi seems to be the most polarizing sorority on campus. They are clearly one of the most popular houses. No doubt they have hot girls and party hard. During rush, girls that got dropped by them were so upset, it's probably the most competitive house through the process. And I know Aphi's who love it genuinely and have super close friends in the house. But there are some girls in the house that regret being there; that they chose it just because it was a top sorority without really knowing what that meant. And this year, some rushees didn't like Aphi, and dropped them even though they were being recruited pretty hard. Not sure if the scandal is having an effect on recruiting. But as long as they keep bringing in smokeshows, they'll remain popular.

Yikes. You guys, yourselves and nationally, only rank based off of looks... I dunno how that’s acceptable but with a world striving for equality, your reign isn’t going to last long. Better shape up sisters. Make a change before you guys dig your hole too deep and reputation is ruined for good. I wish the best for you guys.
