Robert Morris University sits about 25 miles outside of Pittsburgh, and it's a smaller private school with a campus culture that reflects that — tight-knit, pretty residential, and with a Greek system that fits the scale of the place. It's not a massive SEC or Big Ten scene, but there's a real mix of organizations here across both traditional and historically Black Greek-letter councils.

On the fraternity side, you've got IFC chapters like Alpha Chi Rho, Alpha Phi Delta, Kappa Delta Rho, Phi Delta Theta, and Phi Sigma Kappa, along with NPHC representation through Iota Phi Theta and Phi Beta Sigma. The sorority side includes Panhellenic chapters like Delta Phi Epsilon, Delta Zeta, and Zeta Tau Alpha, with Alpha Kappa Alpha and Zeta Phi Beta representing the NPHC. That's a solid spread for a school this size — you've got both IFC/Panhellenic and NPHC councils active on campus.

Rush and recruitment at RMU tend to be more low-key compared to bigger state schools. Don't expect a week of massive events with hundreds of people — it's more personal, and chapters are generally smaller, which means you actually get to know people during the process. That's pretty typical for private schools in this enrollment range.

Greek life here is part of the social scene but it doesn't dominate campus the way it does at larger schools.
