question about housing

I don't understand. Why do you guys have houses with greek letters on them and all but why aren't you allowed to have parties or anything in them? I don't go here but it's super weird haha. Is it cause your houses are tiny and you need more space?

because most of the houses are owned by the school, so it's the same thing as a dorm basically. can't throw ragers in your dorms can you?
