why does everyone hate dg?

I'm thinking about greek life at GW and I see so much hate directed towards DG. Why does everyone hate on them?

They're awful people. The only friends I have in DG are girls who secretly hate DG and are just in it for the mixers/alumni benefits.

They're not that evil. They can be quite stuck up though, far worse than any other top chapter.

They have a very high concentration of classic "mean girls" as in the ones who never got over high school. Also some cool ones in the mix, but they're not really the chapter to be in if you want genuine friendship.

They have some cool ones but on average they are some of the meanest girls I know. They don't care about personality at all, they just take you if they like how you look. So that's why people hate them, they aren't pleasant to be around.

They're just kinda mean and self-centered. Not every single one (they get a lot of aphi and sk rejects) but the ones who are like OMG I WANT DG SHDFIEUHRIERSAJRHWZZZ during recruitment typically are on the worse end of the spectrum of humanity.

This is the single most accurate thing I've ever read on this site about DG. If a girl goes into recruitment wanting DG, she is typically bad news. All of my friends in DG are girls who were cut from either aphi, sk or kkg and chose DG because that was what was left of the top chapters for them. Not all DGs are bad - you can usually tell based on whether or not DG was their top choice.
