How did KE and the rest of AGD exec allow this to happen? Honestly boggles my mind they allowed their so called “sisters” to be put in a situation like this.
Yes they did not directly cause the fire, but they definitely could have taken steps to prevent all of this from happening. Agreeing to do a mixer where you know there could be a fire hazard indoors is plain stupid and selfish, especially knowing that a fire almost started last year.
The whole situation shows the blatant lack of care and disregard AGD’s team has towards the rest of their “sisters.” Absolutely shocking and horrific. Something needs to be done.

This party/degen culture is deeply intrenched in the UWO greek community as well as western’s. Something like this was bound to happen, and it’s unfortunate that there will be lasting damage. Correct me if i’m wrong but AGD and Pike are known to party lots and promote them at rush.

I get what you’re saying, but you can’t just separate pike/agd from “greek life” when they are part of greek life. yeah, specific people messed up and should be held accountable, but pretending it’s only on two letters ignores the bigger picture. If everyone keeps calling these situations “one-off mistakes” then nothing changes. Owning the culture as a whole is the only way it gets better for everyone involved.

regardless if they promote parties or not, this wasn’t bound to happen nor should it have happened. it was just a lack of care and should solely be pinned on Pike/Agd, not the rest of greek life
