Wishing a fast and full recovery to the girls harmed
by: Get a life
Since everyone suddenly thinks they’re an investigative reporter or Greek life expert, here’s a reality check for all of you typing essays in the comments about what happened last night.
First of all most of you weren’t even there. Half of you aren’t in Pike. The other half aren’t in AGD. Yet somehow, you’ve all decided you’re qualified to speculate, gossip, and point fingers while five girls are literally in the hospital. Maybe and hear me out instead of running your mouths online, you could go visit one of them. Or at the bare minimum, shut up and wish them a healthy recovery like a decent human being.
Now, since everyone is so desperate for details. Beer Olympics is a Greek life tradition. It has a ceremonial trophy with a small flame emphasis on small. It’s never been an issue. But last night, an actual idiot of a frat guy thought it would be hilarious to throw alcohol onto the flame. You don’t need a physics degree to guess what happened next.
It wasn’t AGD’s fault. It wasn’t “Pike being Pike.” It wasn’t some conspiracy or scandal or whatever story you’re all trying to spin for entertainment. It was one reckless guy making a ****ed stupid decision that put people in danger. The comments dragging whole chapters? The jokes? Disgusting. The only thing that should be posted on this site right now is: i hope those girls recover quickly and fully. Everything else says way more about you than it does about what happened. Grow up.

I agree the jokes are disgusting. But seriously what is the point of having fire at a mixer like it’s absolutely not necessary. I have a sibling who graduated from uwo greek life a few years ago who said there was never people lighting anything at beer olympics. It’s sad what happened but like let’s be real this was preventable and drunk people plus any sort of flames is a recipe for disaster

This is a crazy take. “Emphasis on small flame”??? You realize one of your sisters got burned alive right?? AGD and pike were both responsible for that mixer and didn’t take steps to prevent it from happening. Both are equally liable for what happened. The exec team made decisions that lead to this and took 0 mesures to protect their girls. Negligence is a crime btw.

EP please enough with the PR statements "small flame" shouldn't cause your own sisters to be in the hospital right now dont act like you care about sisterhood because this was 1000% avoidable and exec should NEVER have let this happen. Why was there even any flames to begin with?
