too old to rush

So I started college late and I'll be turning 21 soon as a sophomore. Am i too old to rush a fraternity? I'm just not sure if the brothers would look down on me if they find out I'm older than most of the dudes rushing. thanks

Some houses will take you but you should consider whether you want 18-19 year olds hazing you and acting like they're better than you? If you don't care about that, then give it a shot!

There was a 21 woman at UAlabama who rushed although she was freshman. She ended up in Pi Beta Phi. Just get through recruitment and don’t be upset if you’re cut by chapters. If you end up with a bid it’s because that house wanted you for a reason. Remember that.

I think it mostly depends what grade you’re in. For example, if you’re 18 but rush as a junior, I think that would still put you at a disadvantage...
