How will it feel to be an African student in Vancouve

Hello, hope you guys are doing well. I'm a west African and will start my term soon at UBC. I know the university is huge but Vancouver is quite far from any black country (African or Caribbean).

How is Vancouver when it comes to stuff related to black/african life and communities as restaurants and such?

Ik it's super weird but my parents are a bit anxious I won't have any reference and it may be hard to integrate as it will be my first time abroad

there's an active black student union with some greek life crossover and there's so many people at ubc that if you put yourself out there you'll find people to belong with:)
