I’m rushing sororities this year and was just wondering if it what the attitude was towards lgbt members? Are there any sororities I should be careful with? And should I be open about being lgbt or will that hurt my chances?

my sorority is very open about being lgbt friendly and there are several lgbt members 😁 despite stereotypes we are a really open community, you don’t have to hide your identity

Hi hun, don’t worry about it. Be yourself, forget Greek rank and it’s toxicity, and if one of the sororities isn’t open to your full authentic self, you don’t want to join them anyway. Good luck with recruitment

About centring men I think that’s for almost all the sororities. They’re cool if your like bi or pan but if ur not into men they get weird.

Tbh, AOII seems to have the most queer girls and generally most diversity, and nobody has ever said anything about them being homophobic

Dw the view of frats/srats as homophobic hellholes are pretty inaccurate as far as UBC goes. I wouldn't worry about having to deal with any real prejudice aside from a few people who don't know any better.

Be yourself. The lower down the “tier” list the more accepting they typically are. It sucks but it’s true.

This is straight cap. Kappa has had bi girls for many years. I'm not sure about Adpi but its not true that only bottom sororities are accepting.

they didn’t say anything about kappas racial diversity, the topic is lgbtq+ rep. kappa does have a lot of bi girls and has for a while
