Alpha Omicron Pi Sorority at University of British Columbia - UBC 3.4 I almost joined because there are like 3 girls who are super cool and genuine that I had seen around parties then chatted with at recruitment who I loved. But some of the other members are weird and it was clear exec didn’t like the fun members. So hopefully once exec changes the more fun girls can do the recruiting and make it a good sorrority. Feel really bad for the normal members

^ You would think their exec would use more “fun and socially outgoing” girls in heavier rotations for recruitment... it’s a bona fide tactic for recruitment ... but LOL gotta be “different” ...

here's the thing though their exec is just trying to make sure everyone is treated FAIRLY and taking care of their own members and not trying to impress anyone, so good on them

I agree, I agree everyone needs to be treated fairly, however, if some girls are better at recruiting and are more comfortable with talking to people there should be a heavier rotation of those girls. Executive members need to consider pros and cons. It’s fine to be fair but has being fair (in this case fair being allowing everyone to recruit) helped? You guys haven’t hit quota in YEARS. You guys have to cob continuously. How’s your retentions? Is anyone dropping? Your exec has to decide where maybe being fair isn’t helping. In addition to, is the continuous remarks of “awkward and weird girls” actually hindering your chances of success by being fair? Let the girls who can recruit well, do so. You need the other girls to help with making Bids Day go out like a bang with better decor, music, games etc. There is no “fair” in formal recruitment. It’s a no-holds barrier contest with the others in wanting to showcase their best to recruit the best. When will aoii step up?

If you’re an active and reading some of these posts of “I would’ve join but ...” or “I might’ve joined if not” ... or even this one above “Bids Day actually looked good this for once” I hope this year becomes the wake up call for y’all. You lost members because of reasonings said below or above. These people either pnm or not is telling you why they dropped AOii. Apparently your Bids Day has been so below average, so lacking, so terrible, that this year was the one and only time Bids Day was “somewhat good”

Maybe one day ... good luck (again)... maybe figure out how to retain and you’ve won half the battle right there ...
