Phi Delta Theta - ΦΔΘ Fraternity Ratings at UBC

This is the only house I've been to so far that I've been completely comfortable in. I was originally scared because of their reputation - but at our exchange leveryone was so nice to me. They even told me I didn't have to drink at every station (beer hunter) if I didn't want to. Nice guys, hot pledges, and definitely rowdy. I'd say they're worth giving a chance! They even told me to check out the alpha delt party on Friday - said it'd be lots of fun so I don't know what the person below means.

I know for a fact "the rock" is one of the rushees who didn't get a bid from them, but two of his friends did. My sisters and I saw him at the sub. Don't take it out on them..

Incredibly trustworthy guys. Some of the most genuine people I've had the pleasure of meeting at UBC. If I ever needed a place to go these gentleman would always be there to make sure I had a place to stay and hold the door open for me until I found it. Grade A champs.

I have never in my life seen a fraternity try so hard to be a southern frat. They are the DEFINITION of try hards.

I don't think there's a better example of try hards.

Not motivated? The last AMS president, and current member of the board of governors, was a phidelt. They won greek week last year. That dude with the most REC points at ubc is a phidelt. And they have all kinds of academically gifted guys there - don't judge the entire fraternity based on a couple guys. I'm friends with a lot of the guys and they're generally misunderstood And them decorating panhel for the last two valentines days suggested they're not that disrespectful of sororities...chill

The problem with these guys is not their clothing. The problem is that they're not gentlemen, they're not motivated, they're very pretentious, they're disrespectful of all other fraternities/sororities , and they're very unkind to many people. They alienate a lot of people and they always love to stir the pot. That is why they are disliked so much.

I recently met a couple of them in a non party setting. Once I met them I realized a couple things. They have a very different sense of humour - the "douchey" things they say are just jokes. They're actually really nice and will do anything they can to help you once you get to know them. They also don't care that a lot of people dislike them- I asked them about it and why they don't change and they answered that they joined for the brothers, not for anybody else - that's true brothership

Wow so much unjustified hatred now. All these claims of douchyness or unclassiness? Care to name them, all I see are complaints about their clothes? These guys are different but more in the refined way. Ya they like to wear blazers, khakis and boat shoes, who cares? Sorry, it's also unclassy just to judge others for what they wear. I've seen the way they treat people, sure, they don't put everyone on a pedestal, but really, not everyone deserves to be put on a pedestal right from the getgo
