recs

If a girl doesnt have a rec, does that make or break your decision to give her a bid?

No. You don't have to have recs to get a bid. However it is good to have them because if we have to choose between a girl with a rec or one without, we'd probably choose the one with the rec because she has an alum vouching for her!

I didn't have a rec and I know a lot of girls who didn't have recs and a great deal of us are in sororities. Just make sure you stand out in grades and your personality and you'll do great!
