I was very skeptical of EX coming into Troy as I heard that they were all the snobby rich guys. While they are mostly liked for their parties, they do have a few genuine guys in their chapter.

Sigma chi is a fraternity where I feel I wouldn't belong. The guys I know from their recent pledge class are just as close minded as the rest of them. They give off a feeling to me that they don't really care about their actual brothers, and that they only care about the status that they have. 14-15 wasn't a very good year for them in my opinion, the parties were somewhat lame and the only people who attended were the brothers. I'm not saying rush TKE, but find a fraternity that feels genuine.

It's unfortunate, really. Sigma Chi is a great overall fraternity, but their selfishness ruins it for everyone. It's because of them Fraternities are suffering at Troy, when they should be thriving. They manipulate the number of potentials in their favor, pledge and obscenely large amount of them for nothing more than status, and then they only cross like half and drop the rest. Do your IFC brothers a favor, only pledge the guys you intend to keep and give the rest a chance.
