Valdosta State University - VSU Greek Life Reviews

Since 2020, Greek life at VSU has had its ups and downs. Enrollment dropping definitely hurt numbers so they aren’t super selective, but most chapters are still active within their own community — socials, date nights, philanthropy weeks, tailgates, etc. Campus involvement outside of that is mostly Homecoming, football games, and Mayhem. The university gives some support and is even talking about land for Greek housing, which could help a lot. CPC is the most active and has the biggest presence. IFC has potential but could do more with recruiting and being involved on campus. NPHC chapters are small but proud and involved in other orgs. MGC is still new and growing but tries to stay involved through fundraising and philanthropy. Because it’s a smaller Greek system, most chapters know each other and hang out more than people think — the “rivalries” are mostly Homecoming or personal drama. As of now, the most consistent chapters are: • CPC: Phi Mu, Kappa Delta, ZTA • IFC: Sigma Chi, Phi Sig, Delta Chi • NPHC: ΚΑΨ, AKA • MGC: ΣΛΒ, ΩΦΒ

Sororities still don’t have housing but the freshman have a floor to live on in one of the dorms. The frats have houses. Hazing isn’t a thing for sororities, but the frats have normal hazing (driving hours, workouts, etc). The srat girl was pretty close to the ranking, (top three Phi Mu, KD, & Chi O) ADPi had a bad recruitment this fall. Only frats that matter are Sigma Chi, Delta Chi & KA. VSU’s Greek life is a super close family & really fun to join.

first off there’s no sorority houses.. it’s bc there’s a poor sorority on campuses and if all of them can’t have houses then none of them can. plus there’s not a lot of sororities to choose from the top sororities are very clear as well.. Kappa Delta, Phi Mu, and ADPi (but they’re slowly slipping off top 3) and catching up to adpi is Chi O. hopes this helps girls going through recruitment in the future.

Housing- Only frats have housing. Involvement- Greek life is pretty involved here. But there are still other things to do if you dont wanna go greek. (But, I totally reccomend it, because Greek life is awesome) Hazing- Rumor that some frats haze. But no rumors of sororities hazing. Selection- Really not that difficult. Just have good grades(2.75+) and good, nice personality and youre in. PC arent really that big (thats why it isnt very selective), but this allows the sororities and fraternities to be closer and more tight-nit. Gender Ratio- More guys, thats why they have houses.
