PRERUSH 2025 RANKINGS + DESCRIPTIONS

This is based on what PNMs typically want, and rush statistics/retention.
XO, ADPi
KD, DDD | ZTA, APhi
PM, AXO
PiPhi
Note about 2nd row: There are sort of two channels to the top 6, the more “old money” group of XO, KD, DDD, and more “new money” ADPi, ZTA, APhi. That’s why there’s a line, but they still have the same general experience and quality.
DESCRIPTIONS (Alphabetical Order):
AXO: the most “crunchy” or “granola”sorority. They are generally very involved on campus. Haven’t heard much about their sisterhood.
ADPi: IMO, the most SEC. Pulls a lot of girls from Lake Norman and Wake Forest, but also decent amount of OOS. Most are very sweet, but they do have a somewhat warranted mean girl reputation. Heavy dirty rushing.
APhi: the newest sorority at UNC. Recently on Social Probation, but they are off now (it will be interesting to see how this impacts recruitment). Because they’re so new they don’t necessarily have a super defined vibe, but you generally hear nice things.
XO: the oldest sorority at UNC. This past rush they were the most competitive to get a bid from, but they also dirty rush like no other. A very good mix of super “sorority” girls and more crunchy girls. They have had some issues with scandals this past year (Cone and Carolina Inn incidents) but they shouldn’t have any issues rushing.
DDD: has the most OOS (> 50%) and most of them from the same elite private schools. Basically in staters from Broughton or Myers park only. Have a mean girl reputation. Very strong academically.
KD: almost all the girls are from Broughton or Myers Park. Almost opposite of DDD in that they have very few OOS. Most “southern” and they have a lot of VERY Christian girls. They can be a bit cliquey, but that’s kind of expected when they all went to high school together. But, the nice ones will be some of the nicest girls on campus. Also had highest GPA.
PM: think sweet girl next door. They performed really well last year at rush, so I would expect them to continue that trend. Very strong sisterhood and campus involvement. Their historical reputation hurts them, but they are improving.
PiPhi: somewhat lacking of an identity and has had some recruiting issues in recent years. They have a good niche of taking girls that’s want a sorority experience largely focused on sisterhood. It will be interesting to see how they do without KKG to serve as a foil.
ZTA: the “influencer” sorority. They have a couple of wild (loud) girls that give the whole group a bad rep, but most are tame. They are the most involved with their philanthropy. Lots of on campus involvement.

You can tell when a frat boy tries to weigh in. They are obsessed with their supposed 'pull' and don't get that they don't matter to sororities and their pnm's. Sorority rush is not about you, frat boys. It's not at all like your dependency on the sororities for validation.

LITERALLY. Like I swear zta aphi and adpi have balanced together on this website to indoctrinate impressionable rising freshmen anything other than the real big 3 which is chi o ddd and kd

Don’t forget that KD hasn’t hit quota without snap bids for the past 6 years! That is NOT the sign of a top sorority and why so many of their members came from the same high schools. These girls love to continue their high school drama into college
