Should I put i’m a legacy?

I just committed and plan on rushing but someone told me putting i’m a legacy will actually hurt me by getting dropped by every houses because they’ll assume i’m going with my legacy, is this true?
(I know legacy houses don’t guarantee you an invite or a bid and I don’t care about that, I just don’t want to be dropped by an assumption)
