Sorority As a sophomore
by: ughI didn’t rush last fall, I did informal rush in the spring, but I wanted to make sure I focused on school. I want to rush this fall, but now i’m a sophomore, what are my chances of getting into a respected house? I have a 3.6 GPA, I do have a few tattoos, but they aren’t too big, or inappropriate so i’m not sure if that matters, and I was involved in a lot at home.

Plenty of girls rush as sophomores! My own pledge class has a good amount of older girls, but it I wouldn’t say it has been an issue in terms of people feeling out of place or anything like that. 3.6 is a great GPA and your tattoos shouldn’t be a problem, so you have nothing to worry about there. If you do decide to rush, expect girls to ask you why you didn’t go through formal rush or join a house last year. It’s totally fine to tell them that you wanted to focus on school. Hope this helps!
