Thoughts on mid/bottom houses
by: HSsenior girlWhat are some positive opinions on mid/bottom houses here? Usually all that’s talked about are the top houses but I don’t think I could get into one tbh. Just trying to do my research before the fall

Upperclassmen here. After freshman year you’ll find out that ranks don’t really matter and as more time passes you probably won’t even care at all (although some people still do and its kinda embarrassing lol). But if you really want to know, there’s definitely minor differences between them but generally mid houses will hang w mid houses and lower houses will hang w lower houses etc but really everyone’s social will feel pretty much the same when your in it

A lot of things are different but mainly your status. Obviously a lot of people on here cares about how they are perceived by the others. If you are in the top house you feel better I guess but it doesn’t really matter. Top houses have more socials because they get invited more often by top frats but that doesn’t mean mid or bottom houses don’t have any socials. Top houses just have it more often. Honestly, just go through the rush process and see where you fit in the most. Don’t worry about anything right now. Keep your options open.

im in a "top" house and my best friend is in a "bottom" house and our social lives/experiences are exactly the same. everyone has block, barn dances, formals, pregames, exchanges, ect. we just do them with different frats/get asked by different guys. go through rush with an open mind and find where really feels like home!
