spring rush fraternity

I'm planning to rush during the spring as a freshman. Problem is I am not well connected with any fraternities whatsoever.
Will there be any information or open rush events posted anywhere? I checked some of their websites but most seem to be all archaic and out of date.
Also, what should I expect in spring rush? Would I be having a harder time rushing a fraternity in the spring if I don't know anyone in the frat?
Really appreciate it if anyone can help me out with this. Thanks.
