best mid tier
by: FratBoy28Ive recently got excited because I got a bid at Theta Xi but i'm unsure of joining them because of a few things I heard. First, I know they get a bad rep for giving out a ton of bids and have such a large class of men. I don't really feel special by joining there frat and I think some of the guys there are slowly becoming less nice/cool to me. I recently got invited to a couple events at Delta Chi and they seem pretty cool. There house isn't as nice as Theta Xi since its old but the guys there seem way cooler. What do you guys think? Im also a Junior so im not trying to miss my chance of joining this fall since spring sucks and next year ill be a senior.

First of all, a bid from Theta Xi is nothing to get excited about. I know guys who visited Theta Xi house for the first time, and got a bid as they were walking out the door. Theta Xi has no rep at all on campus, good or bad. It's an apartment building with letters on it.
DChi at one time was one of the Top Five best houses on campus (way back in the 80's-90's). That was a while ago, they are not considered top now but they do have WAY better history here, and they actually have a personality.
Take your time, and see other houses if you can, but if you feel you are under the gun and need to make a choice, choose DChi.

Just curious, but why do you prefer Delta Chi instead?
