Which are the best small houses ( < 100 members ) ?
Are there any advantages to small houses ?

In alphabetical order (NOT microranked)
Alpha Chi Rho
Alpha Epsilon Pi
Alpha Gamma Rho
Delta Upsilon
Kappa Delta Rho
Phi Sigma Kappa
Psi Upsilon
Sigma Nu
Theta Chi
Each of the above has a different character, you would really have to see for yourself. But each is big enough to have events, has generally decent guys, and would make for a good alternative to huge houses.
Advantages are a more close-knit brotherhood.
They are also better for a guy who wants a more low-key fraternal experience.
Also if you don't feel like being hazed as much.

It is more difficult for smaller houses to get block with the more prominent sororities. That is a fact, however:
1. Block is not as big of a thing as people say, it is mostly underclassmen who don't really want to be at a bar on Saturday morning.
2. A smaller house can still have lots of pregames with various sororities.
3. Smaller houses can have parties where a variety or sorority girls will show up (if you are a good smaller house with cool guys, that is)
4. On this campus, if you are a decent looking guy with a good personality, you can get dates with attractive women no matter what house you are in.

Do small houses still get blocks with sororities or do they not have the "manpower" to fulfill?
