Phi Mu - ΦΜ Sorority at University of Illinois at Urbana Champaign - UIUC 3.4 Let me address some rumors: The 23s have grown since bid day, with many new members joining informally both during fall and spring. Additionally, Phi Mu does not partake in a “social points” system. I’ve never had a sister discourage me from studying or focusing on academics, nor has any sister shamed me for choosing to stay in instead of going to socials. As a chapter we like to focus on each individual before the collective. Each woman here decides her own path, and no matter what, we will be here to support her. To be honest, I was one of the people who considered dropping last semester; however, as time progressed and I grew closer to my sisters, I realized that my experience in Phi Mu negated any doubts I had in the beginning. Sure, I did not feel the sisterhood right away, but just as any relationship requires time to grow, sometimes some girls need time to grow into Phi Mu. I won’t lie and say we’re perfect, but I do think that we deserve more credit than what’s given.

If it was just the 22’s and 23’s, I’d say they’re on par with houses like AOPi. They’re getting a nice new house and as long as they recruit new girls who are cute and nice like the 23’s, they will rise a bit.

Maybe its because they make their members go out to social events in order to get chapter points.
