Sigma Chi Delta- People always forget about the poor girls of SXD! Many are very nice, but a bit odd. Imagine about twelve grim residents banding together to form a sisterhood. It's really quite sad, because from what I hear, they really did start off as a pretty promising group in the 90s.

Alpha Gamma Delta- Always considered to be the "larger girls" sorority or the "last resort" sorority. The AGDs really aren't that terrible, they don't really ever win anything though. They used to do well in academics, but they've really slipped up on that side as well. Overall, most people think of them as a bottom sorority, which is probably valid.

Tri Sigma- the tris have gotten a few larger girls, but overall they are all quite pretty. They are very nice during recruitment, but again, they are looking more for a certain type (dancer). They haven't done so well in lip sync but they did win greek week last year. They can be a bit mean to other sororities and are the most likely to give the "sorority look" at parties. Overall, they are a good group of people.

Alpha Sigma Alpha- They do haze. They are all very pretty and mostly classy women. They can be really inclusive but they are also looking for a certain type.It is important for them to find girls who can withstand the amount of pressure they put on their new pledge classes so usually they have less academically involved girls. Mandatory gym hours, chapter room hours, and party hours. Overall they are pretty and that is pretty much all

WOw--- unbiased? I guess that I just wanted to say something about the service sororities on campus... ASG & TLS They are getting on my last nerve. It is frustrating when they attempt to crash our socials with guys who don't even like them. They also need to up their dues if they plan on acting like the npc sororities on campus. They need to get some sort of social order under control---> I feel like saying mean girls quotes when I'm around them "You Can't Sit With Us!"

If you are not in a sorority, I dont think you would know that much about every sorority. You forgot to add to Alpha Sigma Alpha that they are mean. I think every sorority would agree they are a lot meaner than Tris. Also, my roommate was a tri and she told me that Tris npc only had 3 dancers out of 30..so I wouldnt really say thats all they are looking for. Who cares what frats think about Sigma Kappa. That isnt what defines us. I dont really believe that you are an "unbiased" opinion because you really still didnt have anything bad to say about Alpha Sigma Alpha...

Unbiased is definitely an alphas. I can hardly BELIEVE someone would take all that time to write cruel things about other organizations!! It is so, so pathetic. You are not defined by what other people say about you. You are defined by your actions, and someone is guilty of acting incredibly pathetic.

I was so excited to come to truman and even more excited to join a sorority, I had always planned to join one because my older sister did and loved it...but after reading all of these posts I can honestly say I won't rush. I don't know why anyone would. everyone on here is so mean and I would never want to be like that. thanks for helping me to not make such a huge mistake.

Dear new girls,
if you are reading this post: GET OFF THIS SITE. You really should go into rush with an open mind about every sorority. I didnt know anything about any of them last year when I went through and I really think thats the best way to do it. Dont worry, you will be able to pick up on which ones are popular, mean, nice, etc. Just dont let the (select) girls on this site ruin a great opportunity that is in your near future.
