zone days advice
by: For RealFreshmen, you need to rush more than just the top houses to make sure you don’t end up a geed. Just cause it isn’t DChi or Pike doesn’t mean you won’t have a great time. Explore a lot of houses each day this week even if it isn’t necessarily the best house that day. If you rushed just Acacia and DU today you are severely limiting yourself.

I actually really liked Fiji. Seemed like a great time, and really opened me to not care about tiers. When I was there, they also mentioned that for daylongs, even though they can't have any outside (on campus and no fence, etc...) they go to other fraternities and hang out. Made me feel like Greek life was all one big organization, rather than the divided stuff you'd think of when you come onto GR.
Almost every fraternity said to go to a ton of zones, even those that I signed onto the second computer. They know that even if you bond with 1 person, or have an "in" that you know, it takes more than just a person or 2. Get yourself out there and have fun. I'm excited for rush

To make the 2nd list for Acacia and DU and other top frats you have to look a certain way. If you don't you won't get invited back. So good luck if you only went to those 2 feeling all fratty and not getting 2nd lists. Keep this behavior up for the next 3 days and i'll laugh at you when you remain geeds.

Most of my groups were 4-6 kids including me. Although the weird thing was that not a lot of brothers really put themselves out there at some places (Although there are exceptions at each house). Like at sig pi, I felt like I was just looking around and kicked out. I didn’t feel like they were trying to know me or do anything socially with a lot of people, and there it felt like the tour guide didn’t want to be there

I got separated from two of my buddies that I went with at Acacia because they didn't want them signing the second computer

It was different for the 2. Acacia would take a small group that they picked out, while DU seemed to take a small tour with them.
