looking into rushing this fall

According to Greek Rank looks like they are usually ranked about the same. Chi Phi is usually ranked a little better. From what I heard Chi Phi has a better house, better parties and cooler guys.

You’re aiming rather low to start, but regardless you should try out both houses and see which one has the brothers that you fit in the most with. Most of the 5th tier frats are gonna be the same in quality (Chi Phi, Kappa Sig, AKL & Pi Kapp), so just try them all out.

This was clearly a ploy from Chi Phi to attempt to get acknowledged. No one aims for Chi Phi right away. Especially since the house is run by a bunch of dorky small dudes.

This is right. Kappa Sig’s house is big but Chi Phi’s is one of the best in greek life.
As of Social partners, Kappa Sig has it better since they have good relationships with AOPi and SDT while Chi Phi hangs out with Sig Kap and Phi Rho more.
Lastly, Chi Phi has become better in the last year but Kappa Sig just got out of alcohol probations, so both are good options with excellent brotherhoods. I would suggest to go to both and check it out yourself.

Chi Phi is a lot better. House is awesome and parties are the best (sorry Kappa Sig but not impressed with the sororitys you hang with) Chi Phi has you beat!!!

Um okay buddy. Here’s what’s good; honestly nobody really cares about tiers. Go where you feel you fit, however at PSU, chi phi and kappa sig are nowhere considered “good” fraternities. But being in a “good” frat doesn’t matter as long as you vibe w the boys there. Once you rush you’ll understand where you belong based on a bunch of variables. The only thing I’ll add is that if you want a “good frat” (which I advise you not to care about) you’ll be looking at tiers 1-3, best wishes homie

^^^^ seems like "hi there" is very into "tiers" Chi Phi and Kappa Sig are both well respected PSU fraternities with a very strong brotherhood. Just not on Greek Rank but in the real world both are great frats.

These kinds of tips usually don’t come from women, it’s usually a brother from said frat who is hyping themselves up.
