rushing a fraternity as a veteran

by: current military

Hey y’all, I’m getting out of the military relatively soon, and I was wondering if there was any negative stigma towards rushing a fraternity as a slightly older guy. I’ll be in my early 20s when I go through rush, if that helps.

The only negative stigma you or any rush could have is being one of those kids during rush who stands in the corner and barely talks to any one.

My advice, outside of what was already posted, would be to ask good questions. Ask basic stuff about the brothers, the frat, why they joined, etc. DON’T make the freshman mistake of asking about stuff like alcohol, parties, girls, etc that’s an instant red flag that you’re rushing for the wrong reasons.
