Engineering, chem, biochemistry,etc aren’t easy majors. Girls do have hard majors in these sororities.

The numbers are objective. Either you made Dean's List or you didn't. Unlike the hourly self ranks by people who want to think they are better than others based on nothing more than their own hopes or perceptions, this is not a self rank.

I don't think that is tracked but it certainly would be telling. The Schreyer kids are not only smart but have diverse and interesting backgrounds to be selected into that program. It is statistically as competitive as the Ivies.

Top tier frats have lower GPA because pledge class GPAs nose dive due to no time for any schoolwork. Pretty much peasants during pledging.

Note: if you care about your GPA, don’t pledge a top tier.

Greek life, in general, is a huge time commitment. You have to be able to juggle a lot. It is not for everyone.

The BS pledging is ridiculous! The time expected is unrealistic to keep good grades. Or is the pledging only bad in the top tiers? I worked hard to get into PSU. I’ve played hard while working hard to get all As first semester. But pledging a top tier frat is killing me and my grades. Honestly might quit because I’m too concerned about speaking up.
