a psa for "sororitytie"

by: Low-life Poor Girl

THIS DESERVES ITS OWN POST

I am one of those low-life girls who couldn't participate in rush due to grades. Not because I am stupid. Because I went through surgery, chemo, and radiation spring semester of my freshman year, and know what...I stayed in school the entire time. And, yes, my grades suffered, but I am so proud of myself because I never gave up, and that shows way more character than your PSA or any of the many "low lifes" and "refects" you think are beneath you.

Also, I am poor. I earned a nice scholarship to go here, but I'll also be saddled with loans after I graduate. Sorority dues would be a sacrifice and tough financially for me. If your Panhel sorority is all about women empowerment, maybe they should find a way to include kick-ass women like me. Or is all that empowerment only for rich girls?

Take off the crown and put away the judgment, sororitytie. You are no better than anyone.

I read the post you are referring to and I think you missed the point. Those that feel entitled and "above" others are the majority of the members of ESA who dropped out of recruitment because they think anything but t1 is beneath them. If your circumstances, as described, are legit you are 1/100. This club isn't comprised of intelligent cancer survivors who just want to do community service. Be real.
