Does anyone know if it’s true that chapters have their own gpa requirements? And if so is it a lot? I thought it was if u had a 2.5 gpa u were good

Panhel/Student Affairs Office sets a minimum GPA that allows you to register for recruitment. However, many chapters have an elevated GPA requirement that is adopted into their own bylaws. So, if Panhel says you need a 2.5 but a chapter has increased their internal standards to 2.8, you could have a 2.7 and be cut from that particular chapter for GPA. Every chapter has the right to elevate their standards and you will see that most often in the chapters that regularly fall at the top of the academic rankings.

dont worry i just made the requirement for spring rush last year and didnt see gpa affecting me at all, as long as you have the 2.5 youre fine

Not true. I’m in a middle tier and we automatically drop people that don’t meet our headquarters requirements for our gpa standard
