Alpha Phi - ΑΦ Sorority at Yale University - YU 3.5 everything about the below post is true except that at the end mentioning Pi Phi with Theta immediately makes it obvious that a Pi Phi wrote that. a lot of frats (especially athletic ones) prefer mixing with Pi Phi because they have way better turnout and are less snotty, but in terms of which sorority girls prefer it's a split between Pi Phi/APhi depending on what your vibe is because there's only one top tier sorority and that's KAO.

Alpha Phi - ΑΦ Sorority at Yale University - YU 3.2 Honest truth, nice girls but not great reputation with frats. Consistently bad turnout (even on high street) and aren’t even fun and talkative when they do, kind of just keep to themselves in a corner. Has potential but still falls behind Theta and PBP for a lot of people

Alpha Phi - ΑΦ Sorority at Yale University - YU 2.0 If you look at the tumblrs it pretty much says it all. pi phi has pictures of cute girls having fun TOGETHER and it looks like they really love each other. APhi just has hot girls being hot not actually showing sisterhood.

Alpha Phi - ΑΦ Sorority at Yale University - YU 3.0 I really DON’T think Aphi is down to earth compared to Pi Phi. It seems like they spend way more time on social media and preparing for rush than sisterhood and bonding events. Just my opinion.

Alpha Phi - ΑΦ Sorority at Yale University - YU 2.5 They are cliquey. There is like no unity or sisterhood in alpha phi the girls don’t even care. They only care about showing off wealth and going to Leo. Maybe focus on getting more down to earth girls and treating your sisters better.

Alpha Phi - ΑΦ Sorority at Yale University - YU 3.4 i agree with the below post except that it’s inaccurate to say 2019 was mostly randos because it really wasn’t? there were multiple cliques that preffed theta and aphi because a) they didn’t vibe with the pi phi athlete thing or b) because of the whole “bi-tch free alpha phi” thing lol. so other than that though it’s pretty much true alpha phi deff is not as down to earth as it used to be.

Alpha Phi - ΑΦ Sorority at Yale University - YU 2.9 Completely disagree. The "wealthy" thing was perpetuated by some girls in Alpha Phi to give it a reputation and a niche. Originally APhi didn't have anything and was a hodgepodge of randos back when I was a soph and it just started. Then they got a good house and things are rolling, they were willing to go to SAE parties because Sigep-Theta SigNu-Pi Phi are close but not exclusive, and they were all alone. So they began associated with SAE starting with friend they had. Then recruitment of the 2019 girls came which really changed things. It was mostly randos and then a core group of wealthy, attractive girls, some of whom were international, that would be Theta/Pi Phi types but lacked a personality that Theta looked for or didn't go to the core New England private schools of Pi Phi or were not on athletic teams. It then bubbled from there as they began to develop this rep. And tbh it's worked for them as they've risen in reputation.

Alpha Phi - ΑΦ Sorority at Yale University - YU 3.9 kind of ridiculous that people don't seem to get what "wealthy" rep means especially when in alpha phi's case it's NOT a compliment lol... a wealthy chapter has endowment money (i.e. theta, pi phi, and kappa because they are older on campus), whereas a sorority with a wealthy reputation attracts rich girls (i.e. theta, aphi). theta obviously has tons of wealthy girls as well because it's the top tier sorority, i think people comment on the abundance of wealthy girls in aphi because it's actually gotten them under some social scrutiny... as in the way they only go to wealthier frats and hang out in cliques. i don't understand why people think alpha phi would deliberately write negative reviews about themselves... never once have i seen the "alpha phi wealth" thing presented in a positive light. but ok.
