is elon still full of yankees?
by: AlJust curious if Elon is still a huge Yankee school ? I visited 15 years ago and was shocked by all of the Yankee kids there..It appears they’ have run off all the natives and southerners. What’s the bring draw? Don’t y’all have schools above the line?

Elon is a great southern alternative for Yankees that cannot gain acceptance to UNC, UVA, UT Austin, Duke, Wake, UGA, Vanderbilt, etc., etc. etc. In addition these are the same kids that could not get into Columbia, Dartmouth, Brown, Swarthmore, etc. Basically the student's parents have enough money to send them OOS to college but they do not have the academic credentials for a more prestigious school. Harsh but 100% accurate.

We are not at Wake or Duke because we also chose to go a 2nd rate, small, private school with crappy Greek life just like you.
