A lot of girls are jealous of Pi Phis, who can be clannish. They’re obsessed with their looks and wardrobe. Very selective sorority.

used to be top but def mid. always posting about the one or two notable aka rich members and it makes them so cringe. nice girls. cute enough. but the striving makes them icky

Many are nice and a handful in each class are very pretty but has a contingent that are huge social climbers. Always trying to position themselves as if it’s harder to get into than it actually is and talking about which “popular” frats they mix with. Aside from this issue it’s a solid group and they have a nice house!

When I think piphi I think mostly nice girls who didn’t get into kappa or theta but also a few who have a fascination with why they didn’t and with explaining that they are actually in a sorority that’s just as good. That manifests itself with insecure sisters like the one who came on the discussion board with “pi phi’s new pc is insane” boasting they got a billionaires child and other “really good girls”. They may as well have said “best in breed”. i wish they would put that energy into building an inclusive environment.

So here’s the thing I noticed that was proven last year. These are girls who didn’t make kappa / theta and think they are too good for other houses. The reason you know for fact is Bc they snapped all the girls that dropped Bc they the houses that wanted them weren’t up to their social standing standards. This really happened last year. Which is why they have a problematic 24 pc

Pi phis are objectively the best house. They’re the perfect balance of genuine girls who are also super fun and love going out. From what I’ve heard and seen they definitely seem to have the best sisterhood and internal culture. The pledge classes at Stanford are always quite large so it’s not like every girl is amazing but on the whole pi phis are certainly the best combination of fun, attractive, smart and actually decent human beings. They also host the best mixers and special d parties. Of course this naturally means they’re pretty selective too so girls do get dropped from Pi Phi each year during rush.
