What's New - University of Southern Mississippi - USM

Do you really think that we PNM's are stupid? I have two older sisters (1 was DDD and the other was Chi O) who were members at Southern. "Greek Lingo" was spoken at the dinner table! Both of my sisters thought their "chapter" was the "best" and loved being a "sorority girl" .... Both have told me to go through Recruitment with an open mind and to make my own decisions - not to follow my friends (since I will make a ton of new ones) They also warned me about this stupid site and how girls will get on here to try to make other chapters look bad. My reply was, "You're kidding right?" But now I see with my own eyes! I also went to "the local school" and I happen to know the 2 girls you are talking about - but I'm also keeping an open mind about this as well, since I know that every "chapter" has girls that are good/bad ... smart/not so smart ... pretty/not so pretty ... etc ... 2 girls do not make a whole chapter!

I'm from Hattiesburg as well - and I will be going through. I know so many girls from this area that are memebers of DDD, KD, DG, and Chi O. To say they all go with DDD is so not true. My best friend wanted DDD but ended up with KD instead and she loves where she is! I really do not see the purpose of getting on here and saying negative things about one chapter - we are not stupid and we know its girls tryig to make their own chapter look better. I agree with the statement - why does one have to be better then the other? Why can't they all be great? I love the friends I have in DDD - and if they end up with alot of "local girls" - well, its just because we local girls are some of the best!

I'm going through Recruitment this year and I am so exicted! I have had classes with some DDD's (And alot of other girls that belong to other houses) and the one thing these girls have in common is the fact that you can tell "a sorority girl" from girls who are not. In my opinion, there is something special about them. I can't wait to see what is in store for me - The one thing I do wish is that all this took place over the summer instead of when school starts.

Just posted on DG's wall and I plan to go to each chapters wall and find the POSITIVE! Each chapter has something great and unique to offer and DDD is no different! I have a lot of friends in this chapter and they are all pretty awesome! I agree with the last post - lets try to get all the chapters back to 80% and build each other up, keeping in mind that we are all pretty great and have a lot of offer any girl coming through recruitment! about Chi Omega is you think any part of the "closet" rumor is true! Your comment (comments) are a sad attempt to make a great chapter look bad. By the way, it appears that you visit the MSU Chi O page quite often. Same comments on there! Obvious!!
