Really if you're cute and normal with decent grades, you should have no trouble getting into the sorority you want.

That's not really true. There are over 1000 girls going through recruitment and I'd say probably at least 75% are cute with good grades.

What happens on bid day? Do your gamma chi's hand out the bid cards and then you just go over to the house that you got a bid from? And how does it work if you don't get a bid at all?

You get your card, open it, scream/cry/hug everything, go to a room where you meet the other girls in your pledge class and the new member mom, and then go to the house.
