Is KD good now?
by: UK ALUMRecently I’ve been told KD is one of the top houses. Is that true? 10 years ago they weren’t even on the radar.

I graduated last year and had friends in a bunch of different sororities, so I know what’s actually real. KD is considered a too house, same with a few others. They’ve got a good reputation overall and fun girls, which is why they’ve gotten so popular. The only people saying otherwise are just trying to hype up their own sorority, two houses especially are always posting negative stuff, which is exactly why they’ve ended up with the rep and sisterhood they have. No clue what things looked like here 10 years ago, but I’d bet every house was a little different back then.

I went through rush last year and KD was seen as a top house that a lot of girls wanted. I thought they loved me, then I got dropped before pref and was devastated. I ended up in another house and couldn’t be happier now, I can’t believe I was even that upset. People need to stop stressing so much about what’s ‘top.’ Every house has great girls, you just have to find the people you click with.

Theta, Alpha Phi, KD, Pi Phi, and ADPi are going to be the most popular this year!

Chi O is not as selective as the other 2 and Theta. KD is on par with Chi O for selectivity. Good house, upper end of the middle tier.

My mom said there a big split in the KDs in the '90s. They've done a great job "building back better."
In the '90s, KKG, ADii & ChiO were "on top." AOii, Sigma Kappa & Alpha Xi Delta were still on campus.
NOTHING is carved in stone. And a great many chapters have strong sisterhoods. PNMs need to ignore rankings.

Kd is maybe middle of the mid tier. They think because they bought a new house that they’re magically good. In reality everyone knows they’re not top, they’re behind DG, Kappa, Pi Phi, and AXO in the mid tier. Check yik yak for accurate rankings
