i have yet to meet a phi mu i dislike. these girls are so kind and caring and are the girls you call on that give you unlimited support with no judgement. i was pretty upset when they dropped me but i’ve been fortunate to make friends with a number of girls in the chapter.

These are your fun girls who are known for having a good time (sometimes “too” good of a time haha). They get a bad rep sometimes, but if you actually take the time to know them, most are actually some of the sweetest girls you’ll meet on campus! The social scene of the sorority may not be for everyone, but I don’t think that we should hate on girls who like to party. Everyone has different likes and dislikes and that’s ok! You do you, ladies!

Phi Mu’s reputation is the sweet, Christian girls, but during recruitment, they are some of the most rude / judgements. It made me sad last year to see my friends who were normally so nice become so mean about PNMs, talking about how certain girls weren’t “phi mu” material, and how they didn’t stand a chance to be in their sorority. Other than that, all my experiences with them have been alright, it was just a bit surprising to hear from someone who was normally so nice.

They kind of stick to themselves but are generally nice! And yes, they do have the reputation for being granola / hipster, so if you consider you are into the enneagram test, coffee shops, succulents, and indie music this is the sorority for you!

Sweet, low drama girls with a good sisterhood and great involvement on campus. I don’t think it’s considered the “top” sorority at Samford (probably a good thing lol, the girls who rank themselves at the top are a bit conceited), but it’s still a great choice :)

i’ve met a few girls that are apart of AKA. for the most part they’re very friendly but they also come off as thinking they’re better than me. i wish i knew of more events they did and that they have events for non divine 9 greek life members to learn more about their sorority. at the greek tailgate i went up to their table to try to see what their sorority is about and i got some pretty rude looks for coming up and asking about their sorority
