sorority
by: SujinHey guys so I’m kinda new to the Greek life, and was wondering if anyone could give me some input. I’m a technology major but I’m interested in a social, possibly stems sorority however I am not sure which one would be the best to rush. If anyone could give me input into a great sorority, it would be much appreciated. Thanks

Honestly, I always recommend social over professional for greek life. Here's my reasoning: they're much bigger (so networking wise maybe not all sisters are in your area of study but they will all work on day and will always be a good connection).
Also I think its important to not lock yourself into a very narrow group, you will spend a lot of time with technology majors for your classes, if you were to join a professional sorority youre also locking yourself further in a very narrow, particular friend group.
Social sororities will also allow you to meet much more people.
The way formal recruitment works for social sororities allows you to meet all social sororities which will help find the perfect fit for you.
Overall, I think social is the way to go.

Would you also recommend a social over a multicultural sorority? I’m mostly joining a sorority for social networking reasons because I’m old enough to go to bars, so I’m not looking to join a sorority just for the parties.
