How many fraternities/sororities OWN their house as opposed to renting?

zeta psi's rutgers chapter built their house on college ave in the late 1800s and still own the property (nationals don't own it). letters are back up this fall semester.

It's cheaper to lease a house than own one at RU. NJ property taxes are extremely high and the chapter dues for those that own their houses are way too expensive, and if they don't maintain the proper # of actives to fill the house, they could easy lose it. Remember they need the constant money flow to pay their bills. This explains why no one wants to build or buy houses around RU.
