what are the real sorority rankings here?
by: HaylieWhat are the real sorority rankings here? Top tier? Mid Tier? Bottom Tier?

Here's the deal, is that rankings at washu is not nearly as bad or as apparent or even real as at big state schools or pretty much any other school with greek life that i know of. every sorority has fears that they're "going down," get over it.
top: pi phi (great pledge class last year, friends with a lot of kappas and alpha phis, but some girls who def think that they're better than others), alpha phi (a lot of they're first round cuts were questionable, but they have the biggest cuts first round because they get the most girls wanting to come back after first round in the past, new pledge class are a good mix of pretty, hilarious, and nice, with a few ehs), kappa (still some really sweet girls that they got, but ya they definitely care the most about looks during rush and also a lot of girls in their pledge class originally wanted to go alpha phi but after cuts had to choose between kappa and pi phi, ended up going kappa but really regret it)
chio did really well at rush last year, but their pledge class is not nearly as close as pi phi's or alpha phi's, the girls just don't bond that much from what i've heard from some members, but still some really awesome girls who love chio), dg has some really big sweethearts, but overall there's not that much that connects them all other than being nice, once again not as close as pi phi and alpha phi's pledge class).

let's be honest, regardless of whether aphi is "slipping" or not, dg and aephi are no where close to their presence on campus or their bonds with pi phi and other frats. don't underestimate aphi just because your sorority is trying to "climb"
also kappa is in the top 3 and always will be, let's be honest. so is pi phi. and alpha phi. but let's be real, the "top 3" isn't really something that is even acknowledged anymore.

How do you think all the sororities will do in recruitment in January? With the new structure, adding Kappa Delta, and the big changes in sororities over the last few years, who do you think will do well? Who do you think will have a tough time? Think silence week will actually work?

I think it should be this:
TOP
Pi Phi/APhi (Pi Pi did well last year, A Phi did well this year. But I think APhi sucked a little more last year than Pi Phi did this year)
Kappa (Kappa's still top but a little below Pi Phi and APhi because they haven't had a standout pledge class recently and didn't do well last year)
MIDDLE
DG (they've been improving probably the fastest)
AEPhi (moving up too but isn't as identifiable as DG)
BOTTOM
Chi O (looks-wise did well with PC 14 for them. Definitely best of the bottom with involvement, spirit, and sisterhood but still bottom)
KD (I don't think KD and AOPi don't need an explanation)
AOPi

This is sooo inaccurate. Alpha Phi has some great qualities as a chapter, but closeness has never been one of them. Everyone knows that APhi puts on an amazing show at recruitment but behind closed doors their sisterhood is awful (which is why so many members deactivate after a year or two). And it's pretty widely acknowledged that both they and Kappa were forced to give out snap bids last year because not enough girls chose them... they both ended up with really awkward mixes of people.
