Any surprises this year so far?

Idk, ask a few of them maybe? Anything else would just be speculation. Seems like you’re still trying to stir up drama.

Tons dropped out this year- I think many didn’t really have an open mind and anted specific houses. When dropped by those, they dropped out of recruitment.

Greek life at WSU ain’t what it used to be. A lot of them probably realize you don’t need it to have a good experience here so why bother if you can’t get into the house you want?

I think a lot of PNMs kind of went into it half assed this year, not fully committed to being in Greek Life but more of an “I’ll check it out” vibe, and then when they get dropped they figure it’s not worth the time or expense. The reality is that you don’t HAVE to be in Greek Life to party, have fun and have a social life (not just at WSU but at other schools too, except for ones in the Deep South maybe). It’s a huge commitment and it takes away from academics and other experiences. It can be a great thing but it’s def not for everyone. It doesn’t help with the posts on here and Yik Yak that make it sound like if you don’t get into a top house you’ll be miserable. Problem is, if there aren’t enough PNMs to fill all the houses, those middle and upper middle houses become bottom houses. Sorry, didn’t mean to write a novel, I’ve just been thinking about the decline a lot.

I think about the decline a lot too. And I agree! The posts on GR and YY are making things worse! Why do we let fraternity men decide what houses are worth being in and which ones aren’t. Something I have also been thinking about it creating something similar to GR but only for women.
We need to get frats out of the decisions of what makes a good house and what doesn’t.
Greek life will disappear if something doesn’t change.
