rushing as a poc

do sororities actually discriminate during rush and treat poc poorly??

This is UW and the amount of poc who rush is still low but houses need diversify so as long as you have a good personality and grades you shouldn’t worry

If you join an all-white girl house (like Alpha Phi or Pi Beta Phi), you’ll feel like an outcast and it will be a rough 4 years

no. UW is very progressive compared to other greek schools. there is still a lot more work to be done with pushing for diversity, but i know at least sororities are trying really hard to be more equitable. can’t speak the same for ifc, but there are a good mix of POC in all “tiers”
