Honestly, every sorority is similar in some ways and different in others. Don’t take what you read here to heart, a lot of people get mad at one girl and take it out this way. This will be my fourth year on campus and I have seen Alpha Chi change throughout the years. They have always been known as leaders and good academics. I wanted to leave this because even though I’m not greek, these girls have been the nicest and most genuine girls I’ve met. There are awesome and bad people from each sorority at UTA, but overall these girls have inspired me and made me a better person. I wish I had rushed.

Was super excited to meet them during recruitment, then felt very different once I did.. They kept comparing themselves to other sororities and saying how they won an award that gets passed around from day 1. Also said how we should hangout and etc yet as soon as rush was over they have never spoke to me. Also randomly started following me on social media during rush to I guess "stalk" me or to see if I was good enough idk. I ended up dropping them, since they seemed super stuck up. The sisterhood also didn't show even after rush, I hardly see them together or hear about their involvement on campus. If you can rush anything else but them if you want to be involved or have sisterhood but if your the stick up competitive type rush them!

These girls seem super nice when you meet them, but then when you see the type of girls they recruit you can tell what their priority really is. Most are really pretty basic sorority girls. They talk about other sororities and keep like 40% of the proceeds from their philanthropy for their house.. I was super excited to meet these girls and talk to them and once I did i was confused. Loved them but now I can see through them and how the only thing they're going to maintain is their image instead of the importance of sisterhood and philanthropy. This is the sorority that has only "pretty girls" with no purpose.

I found the fall rush to be quite soul crushing to the girls who felt they clicked, who walked away from the parties feeling at home only to be cut. I know one student who was cut who cried two hours because she thought they wanted her...fyi don't ask them to follow you on social media during recruitment. It creates a false hope.
