if not frats then what...?

I'd love to boycott frat guys as much as the next girl, but what are we supposed to do? They're at all the bars and run most of the social life that sorority girls are a part of. I'd go to a house party and meet some nice gdi's but I'm afraid people will automatically judge me because I'm in a house. I don't really hear about girls in my house going anywhere besides frats or the hawk/cave/bull, and all the other usual stuff. I'm also out of state and the only people I've made good friends with here are a part of greek life. (Is that sad?) Is it possible to go to a good old fashion house party and not get criticized for being a sorority girl? I don't know, what have everyone's experiences been?
